My people

Of dreamy eyes,
and wandering soul,
petite warrior woman,
and mother to all.

~~~~
I am me and no one else.
Much to the chagrin of certain people.
I have a mind and I use it. I am not a sheep.
I am no Martha Stewart, but I can decorate a birthday cake
and scrub a tub like nobody's business.
I stay at home with my children because it's important to me to do so.
I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
I am a soothsayer, I didn't choose it, but I am.
I have faith in something, not because I was taught to but because I know there is.
I am small, but full of fire when provoked.
The smell of rain on the earth invigorates me,
and when the sky is pink and the air full of magic,
I feel at home.
Proud of stance,
and loud of mouth,
Fair haired one,
preach no more,
we've heard it all before.
My husband-like person.
Who, funnily enough kind of looks like the Lion in the picture,
and often Lions are called King of the Jungle, his name too, means King.
He is also a Leo.
I think sometimes the power goes to his head.
He is a kind beast of a man, willing to help anyone.
He loves his work, his family, his friends.
He often talks until I stop listening...and then keeps going anyway.
We have been together for 17 years.
I joke that when we hit 20 years that something big will happen...
either a wedding or a break-up...
I'm only kidding.
Quick of mind,
sharp of tongue,
charmed but sometimes blind,
all true of my first born one.
Ahh, my eldest daughter.
She's been with me half my life.
She graduates high school this Spring and is in a hurry to get out, make money, and her mark on the world.
She is driven, money hungry, and I'm sure that grumble in her wallet is driven by her love...no, obsession with Shoes!
I believe that beside the definition of Charmed in the dictionary, there is a picture of her.
Her life will be wonderful, if she lets it.
There was a little girl,
who had a little curl,
right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
she was very very good,
but when she was bad,
she was horrid!
This is the perfect description of my youngest daughter.
She is in all the glory of being 2.9 years old.
It's been quite some time since I had a toddler but I am enjoying it...even when I'm not!
She is a comic, smart as a whip, has a better vocabulary than most adults I know,
has a quick temper, but a usually sweet disposition.
Her soul is lovely.
